Online Course Policy 

Registration, Payment, Access, Intellectual Property, Cancellation, Extension & General Terms 

1. Payment  

Participants may register and pay for a course using one of two methods: 

Credit card: Payment is collected immediately upon online registration. Access to the course is then granted automatically once payment is confirmed. 

Invoice / EFT: Participants who require an invoice prior to payment may request one at the time of registration. When requesting an invoice, participants must provide the full details to be reflected on the invoice. Where the invoice is to be issued to a company, this must include the company’s VAT number (if applicable) and the contact details of the accounts person. Access to the course will only be granted once proof of payment has been received by Trialogue at academy@trialogue.co.za.  

Please check your junk/spam folders for any correspondence from Trialogue. 

2. All course fees are quoted in South African Rand and are exclusive of VAT. Trialogue reserves the right to amend course pricing at any time; the fee applicable to a participant is the fee in force at the date of that participant’s registration. 

3. Refunds and Cancellations 

Trialogue does not offer refunds once a participant has been granted access to an online course, regardless of whether the course has been started or completed. 

Participants are encouraged to confirm their readiness to begin before completing payment, as access to a course constitutes acceptance of these terms. 

4. Non-Transferability 

Online courses are non-transferable. The email address provided by the participant at registration is unique to that participant’s online access, and the identity of the person who initially registered for a course may not be changed or substituted. 

A participant who wishes to amend their registration details must do so by giving written notice to Trialogue at academy@trialogue.co.za within five (5) business days of receiving access to the online course. 

5. Intellectual Property  

All course content, materials and resources on the Trialogue Academy are the intellectual property of Trialogue and are protected by copyright. Course materials and login credentials are for the registered participant’s personal use only and may not be shared, copied, reproduced, recorded, distributed or made available to any third party. 

Trialogue reserves the right to suspend or revoke a participant’s access, without refund, where the participant breaches these terms or where access is obtained or used fraudulently or unlawfully. 

6. Technical Requirements 

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have a stable internet connection and a compatible device and browser to access the online courses. Trialogue is not responsible for, and will not provide refunds or extensions in respect of, access difficulties caused by a participant’s own equipment, software or internet connectivity. 

7. Course Access Period 

Participants have four (4) months from the date on which access is granted to complete a course. Upon expiry of this period, access to that course will be automatically revoked. 

As these are self-study training courses, participants are encouraged to begin promptly and to track their progress against this deadline. 

8. Certificates of Completion 

A certificate of completion will be issued once a participant has completed all required modules of a course within their access period. No certificate will be issued where access has expired before the course is completed. 

9. Extension Requests 

A participant who is unable to complete a course within the 3-month access period may submit a written request for an extension. The following conditions apply: 

1. The written request must be received by Trialogue no later than 14 (fourteen) days before the participant’s access expiry date. 

2. Extensions are granted at the sole discretion of Trialogue and are not guaranteed. 

3. If approved, an extension will be granted for a further three (3) months only. No further extensions will be considered beyond this period. 

Extension requests must be submitted in writing to academy@trialogue.co.za 

10. Course Availability 

Courses are not available on the Trialogue Academy indefinitely. Trialogue reserves the right to remove or alter any course on the platform at any time. 

In such an event, Trialogue will provide all paid participants who have not yet completed the course with 30 (thirty) days’ written notice prior to that course being removed or materially altered. 

Participants are encouraged not to delay starting a course, as its continued availability cannot be guaranteed. 

11. No Guarantee 

Trialogue’s online courses are provided on an “as is” basis for training and informational purposes only. While Trialogue takes care to ensure that course content is accurate and current, Trialogue makes no warranty or guarantee as to any particular result, outcome, qualification or fitness for a particular purpose arising from a participant’s completion of a course. 

12. Protection of Personal Information 

Trialogue collects and processes the personal information provided by participants solely for the purposes of registration, payment, course access and related communications. Such information is collected, used and stored in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and Trialogue’s privacy policy. 

By registering for a course, the participant consents to the processing of their personal information for these purposes. 

14. Governing Law 

This policy and any matter arising from it are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
